Source Your PLR from the Right People

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my series on 10 Tips for Using PLR in Your Business. PLR stands for private label rights. Many newer marketers have never heard of this terminology and don’t understand what it is or how it works.

To sum it up, this is content that a ghostwriter creates and sells to multiple buyers who can put their name on the content, edit it any way they like, and use it in their online business as their own.

Normal PLR does not give you the right to turn around and resell those same rights to the content to other people. It only gives you the right to use it as your own, but there is a lot you can do with that license.

In this series, we will be discussing various ways you can use PLR in your business and tips on how to do it effectively. But the first thing you need to understand is that there are many different PLR sellers, some who deliver amazing content, and others whose work you can’t even understand because it’s so bad.

Before you go spend a lot of money and waste time trying to sort through packages to find quality PLR, know that most reputable vendors have a price point of approximately $1 per page (or piece) and discount that to approximately $0.50 during a short launch period.

So you might find a package of 35 articles for $17, for example during a launch, and it will bump up to $35 afterwards. If you see packages that promise 5,000 articles for $0.01, chance are the seller has simply used a tool to scrape the Internet of its content, packaged it up and are selling it solely to get your name and email address so they can spam you.

Whenever you conduct a search for the PLR topic you want, look for vendors who have a long reputation for delivering top quality. If the site has no name of the author of the content on it, don’t buy it.

Word of mouth goes a long way in determining who has a solid reputation for quality PLR and who doesn’t. Ask your fellow marketers who they go for good content. Then, purchase a small package to see how you like it.

Don’t sign up for a lengthy membership or buy dozens of packs without knowing the quality of the content and ethics of the vendor. You’ll be able to find all sorts of PLR that suits your needs, and while some vendors have a narrow focus for their topics, others create a wide array of niche content, so you might be able to request a topic you need delivered.
